After a PhD on combustion science from the University of Poitiers and a postdoctoral position at CNRS Orléans, Simon joined the Air Liquide Innovation Campus Paris in 2003. He was recognized as an International Expert in 2008 and International Senior Expert in 2020. His research activities mainly focus on risk and safety of clean energies (liquid and gaseous hydrogen, biomethane,…) and carbon capture and storage technologies. He participated in numerous French and European collaborative projects. He is the author of 23 articles, 45 conference papers and 10 patents.
